Bagless Vacuum Cleaners - Advantages and Disadvantages

Today there are many people who are beginning to go with bagless vacuum cleaners. In fact, they have become quite a trend in cleaning and there are many different models that you can choose from today. Of course, if you have been using a bagged model for many years, you may not be sure whether or not you should make the switch to a bagless vacuum. Before you make this decision, it’s a great idea to look at the advantages as well as the disadvantages of these vacuums to figure out whether or not you really want to purchase one of your own.
Advantages of Bagless Vacuums
When it comes to bagless vacuums, there are many great advantages that consumers can experience when using them. One of the top benefits is that you don’t have to buy and replace those bags anymore. You will have to empty the containers in the vacuum when it is full, but you don’t have to worry about constantly purchasing and changing bags.
Another advantage of bagless vacuums is that you are easily able to see the level of dirt that is in the container. This allows you to make sure you empty it whenever needed instead of continuing to try to vacuum when it is full. Also, if you accidentally vacuum up something important that you need, it is easy to take out the container and find it, which is more difficult if you have a vacuum bag.
Disadvantages of Bagless Vacuums
Although there are many advantages to using bagless vacuum cleaners, there are a few disadvantages that you need to think about before buying. While you won’t have to purchase new vacuum bags on a regular basis, these vacuums do require that you purchase new filters from time to time, and these filters can be rather expensive as well.
The fact that you have to clean out the containers in the vacuums can be a disadvantage as well. You have to do this on a regular basis and it is often quite messy. It actually requires that you come in contact with all that dirt and dust, which can be frustrating if you have allergies. There are also special seals and gaskets in these machines that have to be cleaned and sometimes replaced to make sure that dust doesn’t leak back into the air of your home when you vacuum.
It’s easy to see that there are some great advantages, of using bagless vacuums. You just need to consider the disadvantages as well. Look at both sides and then use this information to help you decide if you really want to go with a new bagless vacuum cleaner.
