Beauty Products - Not Just for Girls

If you browsed the shelves of ‘Boots’ or ‘Superdrug’ 10 years ago, you would not find many products for men. Just shaving gel, deoderant and maybe some hair styling products. But times have changed, and we should be changing with them. A modern man can look after his skin without being effeminate or gay - in fact, women love a guy who takes care of himself. There is now a whole host of products to make us look nicer, smell nicer and feel nicer.
One age old problem that men have had to deal with is shaving. This can irritate your skin leaving it sore, and the aftershave of the old days wasn’t much use. Now there are a whole range of solutions, including cooling and moisturising balms. They will improve the quality of your skin and reduce the irritation. One tip I learned from a friend of mine was that if you want a really close shave that will leave your face glowing, use Vaseline instead of shaving gel. Be careful not to slip and cut yourself, but you’ll be amazed at the smooth results.
It’s also important to moisturise the areas that get the most exposure to the elements, such as hands and face. No girl likes holding a hand that’s rough and dry, and flaky skin on the face is never a good look. There are also plenty of solutions for chapped lips, and not the bright pink, sticky gloss that girls wear. From the classic chap stick to vaseline, using something colourless and odourless will make sure that your lips are kissably soft.
There are also a lot more hair products on the market than there once were. It’s no longer just gel that makes your hair feel crispy; there are creams, clays, serums, gels and mousses all designed specifically for men. There are also dyes to cover up the grey hairs; there is no shame in using these, and if you choose a colour close enough to your natural hair colour then people probably won’t even notice that you’ve done it. They’ll just wonder why you suddenly look 8 years younger!
