Beginner body builders usually lack adequate workout plans to precede their training sessions. This is usually because of lack of experience and also due to an element of ignorance on their part. Planning should follow any decision to join a bodybuilding training, long before you start the training itself. You have to plan even on the gym to register. You must identify the suitable frequency of training and the ideal time for training for each session. You must sort out the objectives and goals to which you ascribe the training. You have to set the ideal training for those particular goals and you have to identify not only the dietary needs, but also how they are going to be met by the daily dietary retinue.
All these are aspects of planning, all of which are fundamental to training success. Different bodybuilding objectives can only be achieved by specific training workouts, different goals can only be achieved by specific diets and distinct programs are implemented through varying techniques. It is therefore necessary to set out the training program in such ways as are specific to goals and objectives.
Before you set your foot into the gym, it is advisable that you have a concrete plan of all activities that you would like to carry out for that particular session. Beginners especially, should keep an updated journal in which they must write down every aspect of their training in concrete terms. The diet should be planned the first thing in the morning or the last thing before falling asleep, to ensure that the ultimate bodybuilding objectives are absorbed into the daily diet schedule and that all nutritional needs of the body are catered for each day.
It is impossible to maintain a diet and workout discipline without a written record for each single day, especially for beginners who are new into the game. As one goes a long in the program, after years of practicing and perfecting dieting and workout schedules, professional body builders can afford to miss out on the journal, for the program is written down at the back of their mind with indelible familiarity. It is however recommended for all body builders, including the pros, to write down their bodybuilding progress, so as to ease evaluation and goal setting.
When training gets intense, and the body builder has to begin isolation training, planning becomes a lifeline. Without planning, isolation training can end up a disaster, since all muscles will be trained in an imbalanced way, severing physique symmetry and proportionality. A detailed plan helps identify which muscle or muscle group is to be trained in every workout session, how long and at what intensity. The same training intensity is repeated for all body parts, planning adequately to ensure that each an every muscle and or muscle group is optimally stimulated towards growth. A plan invokes balance in training.
A workout plan for a beginner should detail the sets to be done, their respective reps, the weights to be used, and the duration of each session. That plan must also identify the warm-up exercises, the cardio’s and breathing exercises necessary to make training comprehensive. When a body builder learns how to plan his or her training at the beginner stages, he or she is set to greater heights of bodybuilding.
