If you are a hard gainer then you probably know how hard it is to increase your body mass. It is very difficult to increase your muscle mass since there is a lot of conflicting information regarding the issue of gaining body mass. There are very many myths about gaining body mass and that is why many hard gainers have not succeeded in there quest to increase there body mass. So what does it take for a hard gainer to be able to increase there body mass? There are three things a hard gainer needs to undertake in order to realize increase in there body mass which include;
1. Diet
The development of your body physique is determined with what you take. If you are a hard gainer you need to increase your calorie intake if you want to increase your body mass. In order to spike up your calorie intake you need to take plenty of carbs in your diet. Carbohydrates are very rich in calories.
When choosing the type of carbs to take, you should choose complex carbs. Complex carbohydrates are digested very slowly by the body and will therefore not be converted into body fat. When you take simple carbs, they will be converted very easily into body fat. You need to take plenty of proteins as well in your diet if you want to increase your body mass.
Proteins are the building blocks of muscles without which you cannot be able to increase your muscle mass. There are various sources of quality proteins which include; whey proteins, white eggs, beans, chicken, fish, cheese and dairy products.
2. Weight Training
If you want to increase your body mass you should training using weights. Weight training is very effective in increasing the tension felt on the body muscles which is needed in order to stimulate muscle growth. If you are a hard gainer you need to train very intensely before your body is able to respond to the training.
Your goal should be to increase your muscles mass and not your body fat. When you increase your calorie intake you are supposed to couple this with intense weight training. If you do not train intensely and yet you are taking plenty of calories they are going to be converted and stored as body fat.
When weight training you should ensure that you lift very heavy weights with fewer reps. the combination of heavy weight with fewer reps will help you increase your body mass fast. You need to train using compound movement techniques if you want to increase your body mass. When you train using compound movements you will be able to train more than one muscle group at the same time. You should also focus on using free weights when weight training since this induces more stress to the muscles compared with using training equipments.
3. Rest
Rest is also very important if you want to increase your body mass. Your body produces growth hormones when you are resting. You need to sleep at least 8 hours each night and try to rest in between your work out session.
