Fans will be happy to know that a release date for Smallville Season Eight on DVD has been set. That date is August 25, 2009 although there are claims that a different date of September 8 has been set. There have been many fans already that have pre ordered the box set and are waiting in great anticipation for the release date whichever date it may actually be.
Smallville Season Eight on DVD is a collection that is comprised of six discs, and the content and episodes are all presented in widescreen format. With a suggested retail price of $59.98, it is expected to be one of the top selling boxed sets this year, and the really good news is that many stores and online websites are offering the set for much cheaper than that price. There are also websites that offer discounts on the purchase price if a customer does pre order it. When DVDs and Blu ray discs are pre ordered they should always be shipped out on the release date.
The official run time for this collection stands at 1012 minutes, and it is being released by Warner Home Video. This was the first season without Lex Luthor, and the season highlights Clark Kent squaring off against the villain character Doomsday.
There are subtitles that will be available as well as other bonus materials and special features on Smallville Season Eight on DVD. She had been an actress for more than 17 years before she decided to become a director behind the camera instead. Leading roles include Tom Welling, Allison Mack, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk, Annette OToole, Erica Durance, John Schneider, and John Glover.
Another special feature is titled Smallvilles Doomsday: The Making of a Monster Featurette. For this special feature, fans go behind the scenes to have a look at the creation of the infamous foe known as Doomsday. In addition, there are also plenty of unaired scenes and also some commentaries by the cast of the show and by the creator as well.
