Body builders engage themselves in many risks and they end up falling victims to fatal circumstances. But on the same note, there is a need to risk a little bit in your routine because it gives positive results through challenging muscles and forcing them to develop a trait of adding up. This risk should however be healthy in the sense that, it does not go to the extremes and harm the body builder which is why a body builder should learn more about some good risks when training.
Using free weights when training is a healthy risk for a body builder, this means that you do yourself a favor by straining your muscles a little bit further to enhance their development within a short period of time. The process will involve doing away with machines which are mostly in the advanced gyms. These machines are good but mostly they compromise the element of strain through enhancing some support and assistance especially for weight lifter. The machines are also subject to control and can make you grow lazy when exercising knowing that you can do it with little effort. The free weights demand your control and endurance for any completion of weight training.
Reduce the duration of rest in your program because this is what will add more advantages to your muscle development. When you reduce the rest durations muscles are challenged fully and they feel threatened by the short notices of exercises therefore enhancing them to develop and prepare for any strains and pressures. However, this does not mean that you totally abstain from resting; this can be very dangerous for your health and you should understand that rest is a crucial component of your body building. All you need to do is probably add some few repetitions in a set and work out regularly but in a reasonable state. If at all you feel the form of your body is low and not at its best, never compromise your resting duration.
The other reasonable risk is through making warm ups a bit intensive. It is true that warm ups are used to prepare someone before training, but on the same note, they help in stretching of muscles and toning them. When the warm ups are made a little bit intensive, the body receives strains and this makes the muscles harden and tone well enough as compared to less intensive warm ups. This is usually beneficial in a case of body builders who are not able to stretch their training programs because of tiring muscles, the more you make the warm ups intensive, the more you develop the capacity to exercise.
Straining the muscles by reasonably adding repetitions in your routine is also a good approach. But this should be taken with a lot of caution since it can easily lead to injuries. You as a body builder should be able to evaluate your body and know the best times to add such extra repetitions, if you feel exhausted, never attempt to add them since it can easily cause complications in your routine.
